Electronics engineers are responsible for development in a wide range of technologies from portable digital music players to the hi-tech Global positioning systems (GPS), which can continuously track and help locate anything, anywhere across the globe. Electronics engineers design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacture of electronic equipment such as broadcast and communication systems. Many electronics engineers also work in areas closely related to computers. However, engineers whose work is related exclusively to computer hardware are considered computer hardware engineers. Electronic engineers specialise in area such as communications, signal processing, and control systems or have a speciality with in one of these areas-industrial robot control systems or aviation electronics.
